SATORATION Studio

A music studio specializing in recording and post-production (mixing/mastering) of acoustic styles – world music/ethno, jazz, new age, classical, etc. (selected references below), We also work with indie pop/rock and singer-songwriters.

Minimalist recordings of acoustic music in natural acoustics are also available, as well as multichannel field recordings of small acoustic ensembles.

Equipment

For recording, I use high-end Lake People F366 microphone preamplifiers and a Steinberg AXR4U interface, along with top-tier microphones such as the Microtech Gefell M221 and Sennheiser MKH 20, 40 and/or MKH 30, in spaced AB, ORTF/NOS or MS configurations.

Additional dynamic and condenser microphones are also available, including Line Audio CM3 (x2), Sennheiser MD441N, etc.

High-resolution recording up to 32-bit, 384 kHz is possible; however, we recommend a maximum of 24-bit / 32-bit at 96 kHz.

POST-Production

For post-production, I use high-end digital tools, including UAD-2 (Neve compressors and EQs, API Channel Strip, 1176LN compressors, LA-2A compressor, Ampex tape, Plate 140, etc.), the Softube Weiss DS1 MK3 mastering compressor, Weiss EQ1, Equilibrium EQ, Eventide H3000 & Co. delays and FX, Valhalla Delay, Relab reverbs, Newfangled Elevate, FabFilter Pro-L2, Plugin Alliance Black Box saturation, the Summit Audio TLA-100 compressor, Soothe2, Gullfoss, etc.

It is also possible to arrange audio-visual recordings of small acoustic ensembles and soloists.
